That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Montesclarense E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mar Van was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 37th minute, Pedro Olguín left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torreoncito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Edgard de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Olguín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, one of Montesclarense E.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montesclarense E.C.. Pedro Olguín shot the penalty kick right outside the post.

The wind increased when Paulão Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borys Okopny got free with Edgard de Almeida in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torreoncito were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Montesclarense E.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolf Uchiha took the corner. After taking down the ball on Torreoncito's corner Adolf Uchiha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgard de Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. Borys Okopnys short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Edgard de Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucas Bünzli took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard de Almeida. Edgard de Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Edgard de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Bünzli went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the game, Elodio Faine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Edgard de Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borys Okopny got free with Edgard de Almeida in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute Lucas Bünzli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qi Guo Yue came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Montesclarense E.C.'s André Luís Schmidt. But to his dismay, André Luís Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Lucas Bünzli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson do Nascimento in the 89th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elodio Faine in the 92nd minute of the match. Torreoncito's Qi Guo Yue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Medeiros in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Torreoncito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
