After a defensive mix-up in Matos Velhos's zone, Epifanio Gagriel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vito de Godoi came out of the goal and Epifanio Gagriel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Gagriel in the 4th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Vito de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Jiang Qing Lin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes Matos Velhos got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Qing Lin. Rafael Flamme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Gentil's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Furia Calamar's zone, Júlio Gentil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Flamme came out of the goal and Júlio Gentil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Matos Velhos's Júlio Gentil in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Furia Calamar's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Furia Calamar booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Furia Calamar's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Generoso Silvino was slow to take the kick. During this time Matos Velhos's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Tord Böcklund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Furia Calamar's Rafael Flamme did a great save. After 30 minutes Furia Calamar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Generoso Silvino who took care of the corner kick. Generoso Silvino made a great header on Matos Velhos's corner, it was just that Furia Calamar's Rafael Flamme managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Matos Velhos's Domingos Palmeira got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 35 played minutes Furia Calamar got a freekick which was hit by Gong Ning Hui. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Flamme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sabino Vilhena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rafael Flamme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the match clock showed 50 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Júlio Gentil sped through Furia Calamar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Flamme. Furia Calamar's Julián Quintero was substituted for Conrado Savion. The audience was convinced that Júlio Gentil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Flamme was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Júlio Gentil sped through Furia Calamar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Flamme. Matos Velhos's Karl Nietlisbach was substituted for Sabino Vilhena. Matos Velhos made a substitution. Lee Beckford replaced Henrique Candal. Matos Velhos's Vito de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Alströmer in the 73rd minute of play. Jiang Qing Lin hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Furia Calamar's Rafael Flamme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Furia Calamar from getting a goal against them. Rafael Flamme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang Qing Lin in the 82nd minute of the match. Karl Nietlisbach took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Flamme. Rafael Flamme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Matos Velhos getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Domingos Palmeira hit a great ball. The Matos Velhos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
