The supporters of Gnesta Oilers booed when FC Ruh Lviv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Eliasson came out of the goal and Myroslav Akymenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Mathy in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Karl-Ove Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Myroslav Akymenko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Patrick Eliasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Ruh Lviv's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
