But to his dismay, Olimpiu Mustea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Justin Collingwood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ionel Panaitoiu made a huge save. Fitz Lambley hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Popescu in the 69th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Garlic Eaters's Tommy Hanley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionel Panaitoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Garlic Eaters's Fitz Lambley to fire away a dangerous shot which Ionel Panaitoiu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Strikers's Ovidiu Popescu got a free kick in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Phoenix Strikers had won after a very even match.
