But to his dismay, Caco Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Magno Nunes in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 24th minute, Jimeno Peter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Peter, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Micky Capusotto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Nunes in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eloy Suarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Suarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomé Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Micky Capusotto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Campidelis in the 45th minute of play. Téo Campidelis scored 0-6 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Micky Capusotto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Deportivo Pomelo Nenene players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. were winning 0-6.

The wind increased when Caco Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Danilo de Mendonça. Feliciano Silvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomé Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Téo Campidelis made a precise shot to the right of Micky Capusotto. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. After 63 minutes, Jimeno Peter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene and the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Jimeno Peter got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Caco Guimarães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Micky Capusotto. That made the score 0-8 in the 65 minute of play. In the 71st minute Ismael Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micky Capusotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Micky Capusotto made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Téo Campidelis sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the game, Basilio Artaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. the free kick. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Téo Campidelis took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Micky Capusotto to make any attempt to save it.
