Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Raureni Academy's Pompiliu Andrițoiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alex Rizescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Panaitoiu having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Traian Moldovan in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Victor Ologu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Idar Reistad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Ologu came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Strikers's Traian Moldovan. But to his dismay, Traian Moldovan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Moldovan in the 14th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Victor Ologu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Ologu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Moldovan in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Emanuel Mascovescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Ologu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some careless play in the Raureni Academy defense, Traian Moldovan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Ologu. The Raureni Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Ologu should have stopped the shot. Victor Ologu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Mustea in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Raureni Academy getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cristinel Tomozei hit a great ball. Victor Ologu came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Strikers's Idar Reistad. But to his dismay, Idar Reistad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Victor Ologu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Idar Reistad, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Traian Moldovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ologu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Traian Moldovan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Ologu. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Traian Moldovan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 37 minutes into the match, Emanuel Mascovescu notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu. Victor Ologu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Phoenix Strikers's Idar Reistad in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raureni Academy's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 minutes Raureni Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olimpiu Mustea who took care of the corner kick. After the first half Phoenix Strikers were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Traian Moldovan made the kick off in the second half. Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Moldovan in the 50th minute of play. Emanuel Mascovescu scored 0-8 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Ologu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Traian Moldovan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victor Ologu. Traian Moldovan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Ovidiu Popescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Victor Ologu made a huge save. Victor Ologu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Mustea in the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu got control of the ball when Emanuel Mascovescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Ologu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Mustea, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Victor Ologu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Victor Ologu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ovidiu Popescu scored 0-13 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Ologu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Phoenix Strikers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Raureni Academy throughout the match.
