With a little luck, Fenerbahçe's Lütfü Mürsel got control of the ball when Sten Melberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Herman Benett got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lütfü Mürsel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Di Röe's George Kristiansson got control of the ball when Freddy Cordarrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fenerbahçe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
