Sten Melberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Cambiasso having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, Di Röe's Sten Melberg made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anibal Cambiasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anibal Cambiasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Melberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The BAIRES players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Di Röe were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andres Cambiasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Cambiasso came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Melberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Cambiasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Di Röe were awarded a corner. Herman Benett went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Elliot Kellbom at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of BAIRES. 0-7. The supporters of Di Röe booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Iratze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Di Röe made a substitution. Romeo Gologan replaced Sten Melberg. George Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Cambiasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Cambiasso in the 77th minute of play. Andres Cambiasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Kristiansson having to interfere. If Arnaldo da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Gologan got free with Anibal Cambiasso in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tobias Gorka hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Anibal Cambiasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Gologan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Di Röe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Herman Benett in the 89th minute. A well done corner resulted in Ivan Drake drilling the ball in to score 0-8 behind BAIRES's goalkeeper. In the 93rd minute, Andres Cambiasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Di Röe played a much better game than BAIRES and deserved their victory. The BAIRES players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
