With 17 minutes on the clock, Kent Gunnarsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kent Gunnarsson hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Tuncer İlbaşı sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Kristiansson skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Canarinho Atordoado booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Åkerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedih Rafet to maneuver through the defense. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Leo in the 36th minute of play. Bedih Rafet hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Canarinho Atordoado's Percival dos Santos got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Melberg made a kick off. Luiz Leo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but George Kristiansson made a huge save. George Kristiansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Muchlis Salampessy in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Leo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Kristiansson saved Di Röe from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Seabra came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Loss came free, but Dé Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Kristiansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stayko Gorbanov in the 73rd minute of the match. Tuncer İlbaşı struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. George Kristiansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarinho Atordoado. The Di Röe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Kristiansson should have stopped the shot. That made the score 1-3 in the 84 minute of play. After 92 minutes, Arnaldo da Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Di Röe and the Canarinho Atordoado players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Canarinho Atordoado booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Márcio Seabra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Kristiansson. Di Röe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márcio Seabra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Canarinho Atordoado's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
