Tuncer İlbaşı hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Dé Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Metehan Aurelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luiz Leo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Canarinho Atordoado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Leo couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Mahir Uyun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61stth minute of the game Luiz Leo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahçe's Lütfü Mürsel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fenerbahçe's Lütfü Mürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Leo in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Márcio Seabra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters rose to their feet, but Márcio Seabra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lütfü Mürsel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Muchlis Salampessy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
