Marciano Cambiasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genaro Cambiasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfü Mürsel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Cordarrell in the 13th minute of play forced BAIRES's goalkeeper Anibal Cambiasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfü Mürsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Genaro Cambiasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfü Mürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenerbahçe's Metehan Aurelio got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lütfü Mürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Cambiasso in the 29th minute of the match. After 29 minutes of play, BAIRES's Ubaldo Cambiasso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lütfü Mürsel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lütfü Mürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Cambiasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marciano Cambiasso in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lütfü Mürsel saved Fenerbahçe from getting behind.

52 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Cambiasso came free, but Lütfü Mürsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Cambiasso got free with Lütfü Mürsel in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lütfü Mürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Cambiasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Genaro Cambiasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfü Mürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in BAIRES's zone, Metehan Aurelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Cambiasso came out of the goal and Metehan Aurelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BAIRES were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Fenerbahçe's much stronger midfield.
