Alf Austad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Cheeky Nuts United fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Cheeky Nuts United's Fabian Lundberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jon-Erik Vedøy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Hans Curtis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cheeky Nuts United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stathis Konstantakis in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olof Skretting saved Cheeky Nuts United from getting behind. Hans Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Lundberg in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Cheeky Nuts United were awarded a corner. Stathis Konstantakis went to the cornerflag to take it. Jon-Erik Vedøy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Cheeky Nuts United were awarded a corner. Stathis Konstantakis went to the cornerflag to take it. Milan Eftimov tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Hans Curtis. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Olof Skretting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olof Skretting saved Cheeky Nuts United from getting behind. Danny Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Olof Skretting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Danny Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Olof Skretting was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hans Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Lundberg in the 40th minute of play. Hans Curtis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Øvstebø in the 41st minute of the match. Fabian Lundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Lundberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Cheeky Nuts United's Olof Skretting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Valentin in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute VN FC Spartak-Varna were awarded a corner. Yancho Motev went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to VN FC Spartak-Varna's Ademar Cabral getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fabian Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Curtis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Erik Vedøy, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Fabian Lundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheeky Nuts United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Lundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Olof Skretting managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when VN FC Spartak-Varna's Zbigniew Paraszczuk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hans Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Lundberg in the 75th minute of play. Zbigniew Paraszczuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Olof Skretting made a huge save. After some careless play in the VN FC Spartak-Varna defense, Jon-Erik Vedøy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Curtis. The VN FC Spartak-Varna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Curtis should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Zbigniew Paraszczuk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olof Skretting. Cheeky Nuts United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zbigniew Paraszczuk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 87th match minute, VN FC Spartak-Varna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivier Giroud to maneuver through the defense. If Zbigniew Paraszczuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cheeky Nuts United fans cheered their team off the field, for while VN FC Spartak-Varna had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
