Academia Club were furious when Benicio Marques was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 11 played minutes VN FC Spartak-Varna got a freekick which was hit by Remigiusz Kasiewski. 13 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Valentin came free, but Saturnino Txartiko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Zbigniew Paraszczuk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Saturnino Txartiko. The goal made the score 2-0. Ademar Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Txartiko having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zbigniew Paraszczuk got free with Saturnino Txartiko in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Benjamin Lundgren made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Txartiko. Academia Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 34 minutes into the game, Julio-César Dely Valdés cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hans Curtis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saturnino Txartiko made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ademar Cabral sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to VN FC Spartak-Varna getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Peter Boklund hit a great ball. Saturnino Txartiko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lundgren in the 45th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Benjamin Lundgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Saturnino Txartiko. That made the score 4-2 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

52 minutes into the match, VN FC Spartak-Varna's goal looked a bit too open when Julio-César Dely Valdés came free, but Hans Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hans Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio-César Dely Valdés, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Academia Club defense, Danny Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Txartiko. The Academia Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Txartiko should have stopped the shot. In the 65th match minute, Academia Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuan Jian to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Yuan Jian got a free kick in the 74th minute. Saturnino Txartiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Lundgren in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yancho Motev was slow to take the kick. During this time VN FC Spartak-Varna's players had a chance to rest. Kaloyan Shavarski made a great header on VN FC Spartak-Varna's corner, it was just that Academia Club's Saturnino Txartiko managed to reach the ball for a save.
