Stanislav Dvorskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Academia Militar MZ's Hélder Custódio got a free kick in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Academia Militar MZ's Diamantino Magalhães got control of the ball when Demesio Reganado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Gilmar Torres made a precise shot to the right of Stanislav Dvorskiy. Resistencia Tayrona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 13th minute Maore Tejerina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demesio Reganado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Diamantino Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Custódio in the 18th minute of play forced Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Stanislav Dvorskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diamantino Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Astete in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Leite came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Gilmar Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Dvorskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Demesio Reganado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Custódio in the 34th minute of play forced Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Stanislav Dvorskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demesio Reganado hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Demesio Reganado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Academia Militar MZ's Gilvan Cabral seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gilvan Cabral the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Academia Militar MZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilvan Cabral had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of Academia Militar MZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Academia Militar MZ. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Resistencia Tayrona FC. Chale Galanes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diamantino Magalhães. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilmar Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. Stanislav Dvorskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Custódio in the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Nestor Velasco got a free kick in the 56th minute. Nestor Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demesio Reganado in the 59th minute of play forced Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demesio Reganado hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Gilmar Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 69 played minutes Academia Militar MZ got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Goldsche. Stanislav Dvorskiy made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gilmar Torres sent off a good shot on target. Demesio Reganado kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Academia Militar MZ booed when Resistencia Tayrona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demesio Reganado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Hélder Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Militar MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilmar Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Stanislav Dvorskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilmar Torres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stanislav Dvorskiy. That made the score 1-2 in the 88 minute of play.
