Despite this Noel Braga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Noel Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Zoccali in the 44th minute of the match. Alvaro Rotili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Trigo in the 45th minute. Noel Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Zoccali, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half A.S. Udinese were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The score was now 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Lucente got free with Noel Braga in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Prestes in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes A.S. Udinese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matheus Dionísio who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Federico Lucente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Braga was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Federico Lucente took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Noel Braga to make any attempt to save it. When Federico Lucente came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Lucente couldn't finish the play. Irreal Madrid's Leo Bernard was substituted for Alfredo Secco. A.S. Udinese's Tom Pervik managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Afonsinho Mattos in the 77 minute of the game. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when Irreal Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irreal Madrid's Noel Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Fiorentino in the 89th minute of play.
