The San Martin de Tucumán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Hector Pirro kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Godofredo Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pietro Romeo in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Yboy Black were awarded a corner. Constantin Mustăcilă went to the cornerflag to take it. Nicasio Jaizki was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for San Martin de Tucumán. San Martin de Tucumán:s Godofredo Maule showed great skill when he stopped Pietro Romeo:s penalty. In the 46th minute Cristian Spelbu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Maule saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
