Edgar Molodețiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Souza having to interfere. Paulo José Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nicu Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Club Sportiv Medgidia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicu Arghirescu should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Club Sportiv Medgidia's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Paiva came free, but Nicu Arghirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
