Jarl Andreasson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arlindo Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Sandström, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Leonardo Hydén heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 18 minutes into the match, Nankatsu SC's Orlin Buhlev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarl Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arlindo Silva made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Casper Klint sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Erik Odin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arlindo Silva. That made the score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlin Buhlev in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarl Andreasson saved AIF from getting behind. With 37 minutes on the clock, Edgardo Gombal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bianco Tacco got free with Arlindo Silva in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Månsson. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erik Odin to strike the kick off in the second half. Casper Klint's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arlindo Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play.
