The Callegari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho Lago should have stopped the shot. The supporters of DONPATO booed when Callegari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enis Dersu struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Rubinho Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DONPATO. If Enis Dersu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamílton Sampaio got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Grigoris Gavril. In the 28th minute, Desiderio Hitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enis Dersu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubinho Lago saved Callegari from getting behind. In the 34th minute Enis Dersu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half DONPATO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enis Dersu was the one to do the kick off. Barnaba Kolba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alkan Soysaltürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, DONPATO's Rubinho Lago threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Enis Dersu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. DONPATO's Alkan Soysaltürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taco Van Der Hoorn in the 78th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Taco Van Der Hoorn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alkan Soysaltürk. DONPATO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taco Van Der Hoorn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Callegari's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Benedito de Sousa scored to the left of an out of position Rubinho Lago, making the score, 2-2. Alkan Soysaltürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taco Van Der Hoorn, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. DONPATO succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Callegari had controlled the match.
