Spectators: 7483 (Terracing: 5614, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Laércio Loureiro got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerson Coelho in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ennio Orsini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ennio Orsini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Loureiro in the 7th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Inter de São Paulo's Laércio Loureiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ennio Orsini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when Inter de São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Clapham Rovers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inter de São Paulo:s goal. 21 minutes into the match, Laércio Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ennio Orsini. Clapham Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With his leg Kryspin Napierkowski managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Clapham Rovers's Cléberson Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ennio Orsini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ennio Orsini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Coelho in the 35th minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, Inter de São Paulo's Gerson Coelho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ennio Orsini was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Francisco Toscano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kryspin Napierkowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Laércio Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Arixo in the 43rd minute of play forced Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kryspin Napierkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ennio Orsini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerson Coelho's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. If Gerson Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute Gerson Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Orsini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cléberson Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. If João Francisco Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's João Francisco Toscano got a free kick in the 57th minute. The long shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 58th minute really tested Ennio Orsini's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerson Coelho got free with Ennio Orsini in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Ennio Orsini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerson Coelho. Gerson Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ennio Orsini made a huge save. After 72 played minutes Clapham Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Richard Thompson. Clapham Rovers's Jools Holland was substituted for Cléberson Mendonça. In the 73rd match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Thompson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham Rovers's zone, Gerson Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ennio Orsini came out of the goal and Gerson Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clapham Rovers's Damien Quinn was substituted for Alex Gibson. Kryspin Napierkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jools Holland, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Jools Holland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de São Paulo's Kryspin Napierkowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ennio Orsini was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Gerson Coelho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerson Coelho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Inter de São Paulo's Pedro Donatello was substituted for Gerson Coelho. Pedro Donatello came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ennio Orsini could save by the left post. After 93 played minutes Clapham Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Moss. Laércio Loureiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ennio Orsini. Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 95th minute of play forced Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Ennio Orsini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Clapham Rovers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter de São Paulo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
