Delmiro Rosalio had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Edgard Cabral's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Pompílio Dikaté recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmar de Moraes hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Set Fire's Pompílio Dikaté sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mané Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mané Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Onas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Pompílio Dikaté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mané Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar Secco to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mané Quirino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Delmiro Rosalio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Cabral went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Benigno Ixona got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Pompílio Dikaté had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mané Quirino. Goiás Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompílio Dikaté was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 53 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Pinho. During the 56th minute of the match Wladyslaw Brudzisz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Wladyslaw Brudzisz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Set Fire's Wladyslaw Brudzisz got a free kick in the 57th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Pompílio Dikaté in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Goiás Esporte Clube's Jarbas Brito. Olcay Tezkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Edgard Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmiro Rosalio. Set Fire's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vítor Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Rosalio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Montinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Mané Quirino made a huge save. During the 88th minute of the match Benigno Ixona completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benigno Ixona a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Benigno Ixona kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Set Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cabral came free, but Delmiro Rosalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmiro Rosalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Cabral in the 94th minute of the match. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
