Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Martial Schwersenz made the kick off which started today's match. 10 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Pelin came free, but Nat Rohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Arif Polatalp made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fire Devils's Falko Domini. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Ismael Kalnik got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Valeriu Zoreanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nat Rohn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Valeriu Zoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16thth minute of the game Dinu Pelin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fire Devils's Nat Rohn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Fire Devils defense, Valeriu Zoreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nat Rohn. The Fire Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nat Rohn should have stopped the shot. Sven-Arne Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fire Devils's goalkeeper Nat Rohn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nat Rohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Pelin in the 26th minute of play. With a little luck, Granicerul's Remus Vuia got control of the ball when Martial Schwersenz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Granicerul's zone, Martial Schwersenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Vuia came out of the goal and Martial Schwersenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nat Rohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Ares in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Jack Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nat Rohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Granicerul were awarded a corner. Valeriu Zoreanu went to the cornerflag to take it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Granicerul fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, Fire Devils's Falko Domini got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Remus Vuia. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinu Pelin to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Ahmet Arif Polatalp in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fire Devils's Falko Domini. A hard shot 54 in the game by Dinu Pelin from a close distance when the talented Nat Rohn managed to make a qualified save. Fire Devils's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ares in the 56th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Nat Rohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martial Schwersenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Remus Vuia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, Granicerul's Dinu Pelin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nat Rohn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Fire Devils's zone, Eric Simion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nat Rohn came out of the goal and Eric Simion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Falko Domini hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Fire Devils's Diego Aloisia was substituted for Garson Pfäffli. After 73 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Falko Domini. Granicerul's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Gaúcho in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iordache Ioneasa got free with Nat Rohn in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Pelin came free, but Nat Rohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes in the game Ahmet Arif Polatalp did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Iordache Ioneasa. In the 95th minute, Fire Devils's Olof Palm seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Olof Palm the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fire Devils protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Olof Palm had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 94 minutes into the game, one of Fire Devils:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Granicerul supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Granicerul would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
