The audience was convinced that Ove Bergman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Urbani was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arrigo Marrone got free with Dennis Urbani in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ove Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eugenio Casiraghi fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XMAS's protests and gave Eugenio Casiraghi a yellow card for diving instead. 25 minutes into the match, Arrigo Marrone notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of XMAS's Dennis Urbani. Dennis Urbani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in XMAS's zone, Ove Bergman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Urbani came out of the goal and Ove Bergman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the game, Arrigo Marrone recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dennis Urbani. Arrigo Marrone showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Dennis Urbani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Arrigo Marrone came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Villa Gordiani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arrigo Marrone couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Alfonsi in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Casillas saved Villa Gordiani from getting behind. Arrigo Marrone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Dennis Urbani made a huge save. 48 minutes into the match, Arrigo Marrone dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dennis Urbani, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 55thth minute of the game Ove Bergman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XMAS's Dennis Urbani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 58 minutes of play, Villa Gordiani's Ove Bergman made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Urbani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabrizio Canzano scored 6-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Urbani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Arrigo Marrone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dennis Urbani. XMAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arrigo Marrone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 74 minutes into the match, Ove Bergman notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of XMAS's Dennis Urbani. Dennis Urbani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dennis Urbani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabrizio Canzano went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Arrigo Marrone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Urbani having to interfere. Villa Gordiani's Natã de Salles was substituted for Arrigo Marrone. Dennis Urbani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Bergman in the 89th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Villa Gordiani were the better team. Villa Gordiani's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
