With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dakota Newham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Te Moriste en Madrid's Ismael Guilabertus got a free kick in the 26th minute. Daniel Dahleb struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Dakota Newham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Te Moriste en Madrid. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Dahleb in the 30th minute of play forced Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Dakota Newham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Schwarzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clay Heath in the 33rd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brookes Crane in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Schwarzer saved Te Moriste en Madrid from getting behind. Daniel Dahleb's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dakota Newham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Daniel Dahleb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dakota Newham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leeton United FC's Brookes Crane in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Te Moriste en Madrid would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
