Tracto's Bernabe Fagildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Tracto from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, Tracto's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Bonelli came free, but Bernabe Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Santiago Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Kongur in the 19th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Anthony Bonelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tracto's Bernabe Fagildo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 23rd minute of play forced Tracto's goalkeeper Bernabe Fagildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Anthony Bonelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Fagildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Medina's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernabe Fagildo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bernabe Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 28th minute of play. Palermo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anthony Bonelli in the 29th minute. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Okan Kongur sped through Palermo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Joey. After 40 minutes of play, Palermo's Arnoldo Medina made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Fagildo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the game, Sven-Arne Olsson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tracto's Isidro Gartzi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 47th minute, Herminio Distiratsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Okan Kongur made a kick off. When Saul Felo fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Saul Felo a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Saul Felo. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Okan Kongur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tracto's supporters rose to their feet, but Okan Kongur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Joey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tracto's Bernabe Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Medina in the 59th minute of play. Bernabe Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Palermo got a corner. Tracto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anthony Bonelli ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Maximino Gonzalez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernabe Fagildo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arnoldo Medina took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe Fagildo. Bernabe Fagildo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Zâncă got free with Alfredo Joey in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Okan Kongur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernabe Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 85th minute of play. Palermo's Alfredo Joey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the match, Tracto's Herminio Distiratsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Joey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Isidro Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Santiago Mino came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Mino couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Tracto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Distiratsu to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Palermo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
