The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee gave FC Anderlecht Huachipato a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victorino Peake, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado. 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Eder Sarro came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Manzanedo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Anacleto Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Astudillo in the 26th minute of the match. Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serbülent Baysan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimiro Jerold's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. A hard shot 35 in the game by Vladimiro Jerold from a close distance when the talented Serbülent Baysan managed to make a qualified save. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Jerold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serbülent Baysan was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Jerold in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serbülent Baysan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimiro Jerold struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Serbülent Baysan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. After 93 minutes, Dennis-Sven Piater mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Anderlecht Huachipato and the Los Gallos players grew even worse after the yellow card.
