The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimiro Jerold got free with Bonifacio Naldo in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Los Gallos's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Txomin came free, but Anacleto Horado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Los Gallos getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jose Iban hit a great ball. Serginho Silva scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anacleto Horado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute Serginho Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Vladimiro Jerold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bonifacio Naldo stood somewhat misplaced when Vladimiro Jerold came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 34 minute. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeronimo Birila in the 39th minute of play. Anacleto Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Txomin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Txomin in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anacleto Horado saved Los Gallos from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, Los Gallos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gipuzkoa Chamochin to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vladimiro Jerold to strike the kick off in the second half. Anacleto Horado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Txomin in the 50th minute. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Los Gallos from getting a goal against them. Anacleto Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Txomin in the 54th minute of the match. Anacleto Horado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruperto Txomin went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Fabio Jakobsen was substituted for Benjy Dreher. Horymír Arnošt made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Serginho Silva. Vladimiro Jerold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bonifacio Naldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico Calamar Saavedra's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edu Linares was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Gallos's players had a chance to rest. In the 77th minute, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Ruperto Txomin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. 82 minutes into the match, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Jerold came free, but Bonifacio Naldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenio Fliz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anacleto Horado. That made the score 1-6 in the 93 minute of play. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Jørgen Waage was substituted for Serginho Silva. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
