Celsinho Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baybars-Tolgahan Balta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lilian Montane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match Alvinegro Carioca got a corner. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baybars-Tolgahan Balta was the one to do the kick off. Alvinegro Carioca's José Carlos Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilles Morisson in the 59th minute of play. Alvinegro Carioca's attentive Washington Valladares managed to snatch the ball when Bob Lebœuf made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game.
