Argentinos Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaplan Damjanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute of the match, Robert Wilson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Waldir Gaúcho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. ABK Black Warriors73's Waldir Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Aires in the 15th minute of play. If Denver Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Domingos Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ABK Black Warriors73's Gavril Bîndean got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when ABK Black Warriors73 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaplan Damjanović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Denis Mero got a free kick in the 50th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Wilson in the 52nd minute of play forced ABK Black Warriors73's goalkeeper Waldir Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Domingos Aires sped through ABK Black Warriors73's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waldir Gaúcho. Waldir Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Aires's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Waldir Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven de Zwaan's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Sven de Zwaan struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Waldir Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentinos Juniors.
