Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Vancouver Reds's Görkem Büyükada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Boberg in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Görkem Büyükada in the 6th minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Andreas Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolás Castillo in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match Vancouver Reds got a corner. FC NILS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Salvador Tate ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vancouver Reds's Salvador Tate to fire away a dangerous shot which Andreas Svensson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Görkem Büyükada in the 11th minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Andreas Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Macnelly Torres. Tim Nordlund hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goal looked a bit too open when Görkem Büyükada came free, but Andreas Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Eugène Jetté hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Görkem Büyükada in the 20th minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Andreas Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Vancouver Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's Görkem Büyükada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andreas Svensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute Görkem Büyükada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Svensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Vancouver Reds's Görkem Büyükada fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. After a defensive mix-up in FC NILS's zone, Nicolás Castillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Svensson came out of the goal and Nicolás Castillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christer Boberg was the one to do the kick off. Andreas Svensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Görkem Büyükada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vancouver Reds made a substitution. Amédée Gillis replaced Billy Oja. 58 minutes into the game, one of FC NILS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Vancouver Reds a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nicolás Castillo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC NILS's Andreas Svensson. 0-4. Vancouver Reds made a substitution. Omar Duardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Stefan Edberg charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Edberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79thth minute of the game Görkem Büyükada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NILS's Andreas Svensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC NILS's Andreas Svensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save FC NILS from getting a goal against them. If Görkem Büyükada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Svensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Görkem Büyükada, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Görkem Büyükada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Andreas Svensson made a huge save. After having played for 89 minutes, Darin Bozduganov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC NILS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darin Bozduganov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Svensson made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Görkem Büyükada sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goalkeeper Andreas Svensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Görkem Büyükada. Omar Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darin Bozduganov in the 97th minute of play. Vancouver Reds's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
