Spectators: 7534 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nicolás Castillo kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Modlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ostap Geilarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cameron Leary got free with Sebastian Winszman in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolás Castillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Sebastian Winszman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Cameron Leary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Winszman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nicolás Castillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Winszman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cameron Leary in the 14th minute of the match. Barry McCray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Omar Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry McCray in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Duardo saved Vancouver Reds from getting behind. Sebastian Winszman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cameron Leary in the 19th minute of the match. When Cameron Leary, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 19 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sebastian Winszman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nicolás Castillo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Barry McCray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Duardo. Vancouver Reds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barry McCray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nicolás Castillo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Sebastian Winszman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vancouver Reds. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarmo Laik in the 32nd minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Duardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dominic Salazar went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sebastian Winszman was a little too slow when Nicolás Castillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-2. Sebastian Winszman made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Salvador Tate sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Winszman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolás Castillo in the 45th minute of play. Omar Duardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wincenty Mochowak in the 51st minute. It was a penalty for Vancouver Reds! In the 95th minute of the game, Modlau got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Modlau had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
