Spectators: 7549 (Terracing: 5663, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joe Herring kicked off to start the match. Olav Blommegaard made in the 2nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and John-Arne Riise immediately put the ball in play. 4 minutes into the game, Hønning's John-Arne Riise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerry Lodge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 7 minutes of play, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gert Altorn was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the game, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gert Altorn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Herring, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gert Altorn was a little too slow when Joe Herring got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 29th minute of the match, Joe Herring tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gert Altorn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jerry Lodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Arne Riise in the 33rd minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Herring came free, but Gert Altorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Herring in the 41st minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Valencia C.F. got a corner. Hønning's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Farré ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Guillermo Farré got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gert Altorn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gert Altorn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuan Wei Han in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John-Arne Riise to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Hønning's zone, Joe Herring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Altorn came out of the goal and Joe Herring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Herring, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Guillermo Farré hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Joe Herring notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Hønning's Gert Altorn. Gert Altorn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gert Altorn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-Arne Riise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Joe Herring left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valencia C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. In the 91st match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Harding to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, John-Arne Riise fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Florentin Gougeon hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
