Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Crimson Knights's Robt Sanford started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frances Pack, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Tadeo Fidele came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Hønning's Per Nørbjerg. But to his dismay, Per Nørbjerg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. John-Arne Riise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John-Arne Riise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Fidele having to interfere. If Per Nørbjerg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John-Arne Riise blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tadeo Fidele having to make a save. Hønning's Gert Altorn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robt Sanford in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwardo Perreault during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Crimson Knights got a freekick which was hit by Bai Xiang Xiao. Laurids Hvenekilde was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robt Sanford, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute John-Arne Riise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Per Nørbjerg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hønning and the Crimson Knights players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute Robt Sanford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Altorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frances Pack kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Per Nørbjerg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tadeo Fidele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John-Arne Riise to make the kick off. Per Nørbjerg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tadeo Fidele came out and tried to block the shot, but Per Nørbjerg slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 51st minute. When Crimson Knights's Robt Sanford in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hønning's goalie prevented a goal. Edwardo Perreault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Per Nørbjerg came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Hønning fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Nørbjerg couldn't finish the play. Tadeo Fidele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Arne Riise in the 67th minute of play. Gert Altorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwardo Perreault in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Crimson Knights's goalkeeper Tadeo Fidele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Nørbjerg. Hønning's Laurids Hvenekilde was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tadeo Fidele in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 84th match minute, Crimson Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bai Xiang Xiao to maneuver through the defense. Hønning's Per Nørbjerg got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fillip Knutstad was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Per Nørbjerg got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hønning had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
