In the 4th minute, Mustafa Ali Erginer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KUZEY ARAS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kamber Enfa sped through Hønning's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gert Altorn. 19 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Vedillo came free, but Gert Altorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gert Altorn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamber Enfa in the 26th minute. Çağan Cebeci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Nørbjerg in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Hønning getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Per Nørbjerg hit a great ball. The supporters of KUZEY ARAS FC booed when Hønning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Kandil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Çağan Cebeci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Arne Riise in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Mustafa Ali Erginer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Altorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gert Altorn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roque Vedillo's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John-Arne Riise to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Ubendu came free, but Gert Altorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Romulo Ubendu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 75th minute, one of Hønning:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hønning. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Ali Erginer in the 82nd minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Hønning's protests and gave Olav Blommegaard a yellow card for diving instead. 93 minutes into the game, one of Hønning:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kamber Enfa shot the penalty kick right outside the post. KUZEY ARAS FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
