Yofré AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mateo Messi took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ion Chificeac. Ion Chificeac dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Alex Team defense, Orlando Lizardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ion Chificeac. The Alex Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ion Chificeac should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the game, Ernesto Poncio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ion Chificeac was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute Mateo Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Chificeac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Virgil Achifoaiei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ion Chificeac came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Yofré AFC's Ernesto Poncio. But to his dismay, Ernesto Poncio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Poncio to make the kick off. The Yofré AFC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Yofré AFC's Ernesto Poncio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Poncio in the 82nd minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Yofré AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alex Team throughout the match.
