After 11 played minutes, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Heintje Gamarra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvaro Cirelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tractorul Satulung -MM- reached it. In the 18th minute, Veli Vefa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panait Hațegan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan got control of the ball when Concetto Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Concetto Donato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Panait Hațegan. Concetto Donato showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Panait Hațegan made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Concetto Donato sent off a good shot on target. Mădălin Cangeopol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Cirelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan got control of the ball when Veli Vefa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Concetto Donato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Mutu came free, but Alvaro Cirelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Mădălin Cangeopol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tractorul Satulung -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Concetto Donato to make the kick off. Kroton F.C.'s Alvaro Cirelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Kroton F.C. from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Cirelli made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mădălin Cangeopol sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Cristiano Chitarroni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Hațegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Adrian Mutu made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Cirelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvaro Cirelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Alvaro Cirelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Mutu in the 72nd minute of play. Mădălin Cangeopol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Alvaro Cirelli made a huge save. Alvaro Cirelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Mutu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Cirelli having to interfere.
