Genaro Montez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mister Head Son showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Teodor Huștiu struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Hieronim Milko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fotbal Club Vaslui. When Jaroslaw Sidorowicz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. But to his dismay, Wellington Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, FC Sójcze's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Traian came free, but Hieronim Milko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Traian Traian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hieronim Milko having to interfere. Lucjan Marchewka charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucjan Marchewka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes FC Sójcze got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Marchewka. In the 41st minute, Teodor Huștiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hieronim Milko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Jaroslaw Sidorowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Visti Hjelmstoft was substituted for Gică Hăulică. After the first half Fotbal Club Vaslui were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
