Efim Fedotov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from D.J. Gol in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by D.J. Gol in the 15th minute of play forced Los Valientes's goalkeeper Efim Fedotov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Elias Palos in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Los Valientes's Meng Jie Chong. Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Black Rose 1979 from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute D.J. Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efim Fedotov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Valientes's Efim Fedotov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. Gol in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 29th minute of play forced Los Valientes's goalkeeper Efim Fedotov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Valientes's Efim Fedotov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Davor Šuker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Rose 1979's supporters rose to their feet, but Davor Šuker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell D.J. Gol to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baykan Sönmez in the 53rd minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Black Rose 1979's Efim Fedotov threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Davor Šuker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baykan Sönmez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Latif Bican charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Latif Bican the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Los Valientes's Latif Bican got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Black Rose 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Palos to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Los Valientes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Black Rose 1979:s goal. In the 80th minute, the referee gave Black Rose 1979 a penalty. Sebastian Enekoitz looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Efim Fedotov. After 84 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Elias Palos. In the 92nd minute D.J. Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efim Fedotov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efim Fedotov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from D.J. Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Zbyszko Tomiczek hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Efim Fedotov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 97th minute. The Black Rose 1979 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Black Rose 1979 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
