Åke Björling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davor Šuker went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the match, Davor Šuker notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Motala's Åke Björling. Åke Björling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Gaufred Betanzos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Åke Björling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaufred Betanzos went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Antonio Gombal notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Motala's Åke Björling. Åke Björling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jack Eklund charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some careless play in the Motala defense, Gaufred Betanzos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Åke Björling. The Motala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Björling should have stopped the shot. Åke Björling came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Rose 1979's D.J. Gol. But to his dismay, D.J. Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 32nd minute, D.J. Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Rose 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. 35 minutes into the match, Gaufred Betanzos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Åke Björling. Motala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaufred Betanzos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. 39 minutes into the match, Motala's goal looked a bit too open when Gaufred Betanzos came free, but Åke Björling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, D.J. Gol put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Åke Björling. In the 42nd minute, D.J. Gol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. Åke Björling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaufred Betanzos in the 45th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Davor Šuker notched a goal, 0-13, to the right of Motala's Åke Björling. Åke Björling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-13 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Eklund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Gaufred Betanzos took a quick shot and it went in 0-14 without a chance for Åke Björling to make any attempt to save it. Motala's Åke Björling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. Gol in the 59th minute of play. Åke Björling was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Gaufred Betanzos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gaufred Betanzos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-15. D.J. Gol scored 0-16 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Åke Björling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Åke Björling stood somewhat misplaced when D.J. Gol came free in front of goal and shot 0-18 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Åke Björling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Gombal in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Motala's Åke Björling got control of the ball when Gaufred Betanzos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Glad charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Glad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Glad kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Black Rose 1979's D.J. Gol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Åke Björling. That made the score 0-19 after 83 minutes of play. After 85 played minutes Motala got a freekick which was hit by Jack Eklund. 86 minutes into the match, Gaufred Betanzos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Åke Björling, 0-20. Motala's Åke Björling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davor Šuker in the 89th minute of play. Åke Björling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davor Šuker in the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davor Šuker in the 93rd minute of play forced Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Enzo-Nicolás Pérez.
