Manuel Lăcătuș was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Börje Linquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Borges came free, but Manuel Lăcătuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes Republica Ploiești's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Garoa Bencoiechea who took care of the corner kick. BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Angelo Borges suffered a concussion after 17 minutes and had to leave the field. Cezar Costeiantu's late challenge caught a BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cezar Costeiantu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, one of Republica Ploiești:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Republica Ploiești. After a rather tough play, Republica Ploiești's Cezar Costeiantu got a free kick in the 24th minute. Manuel Lăcătuș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Durusoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Cazimir Mohora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Republica Ploiești's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 the free kick. In the 28th minute, one of Republica Ploiești:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Republica Ploiești. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gürsel Durusoy in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Lăcătuș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gürsel Durusoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Lăcătuș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Costeiantu to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Radoslaw Fink received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Lăcătuș came out and tried to block the shot, but Radoslaw Fink slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute, Gürsel Durusoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Cezar Costeiantu made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Börje Linquist. Gürsel Durusoy took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Lăcătuș. Manuel Lăcătuș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 made a substitution. Vefa Bilgin replaced Börje Linquist. The crowd rose to their feet as BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Gürsel Durusoy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Lăcătuș. That made the score 0-11 after 71 minutes of play. Cazimir Mohora hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Gürsel Durusoy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Lăcătuș. Gürsel Durusoy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. Gürsel Durusoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Lăcătuș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürsel Durusoy ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș got control of the ball when Gürsel Durusoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gürsel Durusoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Lăcătuș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürsel Durusoy ran back to his position shaking his head. Gürsel Durusoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Manuel Lăcătuș made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Tibet Yanal made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Lăcătuș. Republica Ploiești's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-14. 95 minutes into the match, Garoa Bencoiechea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Lăcătuș. Republica Ploiești's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garoa Bencoiechea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15. BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
