An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Matorin in the 3rd minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Arthur Bufi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Maranhense came free, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 余永川 to maneuver through the defense. After 8 minutes of play, Black Rose 1979's Eliseo Berriotxoa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur Bufi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Eliseo Berriotxoa made a precise shot to the right of Arthur Bufi. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube defense, Davor Šuker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Bufi. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Bufi should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川 got a free kick in the 19th minute. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 余永川's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. The corner ended in Oswaldo Maranhense almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist did a great save. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Berriotxoa in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川 got a free kick in the 37th minute. A hard shot 39 in the game by Gwidon Cwojdak from a close distance when the talented Karl-Johan Ahlqvist managed to make a qualified save. Black Rose 1979's players were relieved. 47 minutes into the game, one of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arthur Bufi came out of the goal in the 49th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Rose 1979's Sebastian Enekoitz. But to his dismay, Sebastian Enekoitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black Rose 1979 were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwidon Cwojdak made a kick off. Arthur Bufi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Berriotxoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Eliseo Berriotxoa notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi. Arthur Bufi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme Cearense to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Sebastian Enekoitz in the 72nd minute really tested Arthur Bufi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 74 minutes, 余永川 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but 余永川 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur Bufi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Matorin in the 77th minute. Arthur Bufi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Waldemar Matorin hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Cwojdak in the 88th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Black Rose 1979 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo-Nicolás Pérez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 余永川 in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ye Hong Shi hit a great ball. In the 94th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gong Fan to maneuver through the defense. With 98 minutes on the clock, Éder Neto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 97 minutes into the game, one of Black Rose 1979:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 100th minute there was a penalty for Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Luiz Guilherme Cearense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Black Rose 1979 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cruzeiro Esporte Clube.
