Manuel Lăcătuș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute Tadeu Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lăcătuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Firea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leclerc having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Hamilton Luis came free, but Manuel Lăcătuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Republica Ploiești getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ferdinand Arnăuțoiu hit a great ball. Doru Brânzeu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Lăcătuș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Hamilton Luis came free, but Manuel Lăcătuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco da Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Republica Ploiești getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. The referee showed Cosmin Chiriță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jumeuc Futebol Clube booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Chiriță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Lăcătuș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco da Cunha in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Chiriță to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Kiko Leite got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Manuel Lăcătuș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Falcão Soeiro in the 80th minute. In the 83rd match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Costeiantu to maneuver through the defense. After 86 minutes of play, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Hamilton Luis made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Lăcătuș was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dan Godeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jumeuc Futebol Clube played a much better game than Republica Ploiești and deserved their victory. The Republica Ploiești players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
