Spectators: 7448 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gwidon Cwojdak kicked off to start the match. Manuel Lăcătuș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gwidon Cwojdak's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute, Oswaldo Maranhense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lăcătuș was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 余永川 in the 14th minute of play forced Republica Ploiești's goalkeeper Manuel Lăcătuș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Lăcătuș came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak. But to his dismay, Gwidon Cwojdak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 余永川 might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Lăcătuș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 余永川 ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by 余永川 in the 23rd minute of play forced Republica Ploiești's goalkeeper Manuel Lăcătuș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 余永川 in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, 余永川 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Gwidon Cwojdak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, 余永川 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lăcătuș was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Republica Ploiești's goalkeeper Manuel Lăcătuș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute 余永川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lăcătuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Cwojdak in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Lăcătuș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Godeanu during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Godeanu to maneuver through the defense. Costică Codrea kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Republica Ploiești made a substitution. Sebastian Hoduț replaced Ioan Brânza. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Codrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Emanuel Firea made the kick off in the second half. Mircea Mihoc kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Republica Ploiești's zone, Oswaldo Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Lăcătuș came out of the goal and Oswaldo Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, 余永川 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Lăcătuș. 余永川 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. 63 minutes into the match, 余永川 notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș. Manuel Lăcătuș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Lăcătuș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Paulo Dante in the 67th minute. Costică Codrea charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costică Codrea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Republica Ploiești getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Costică Codrea hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Gwidon Cwojdak took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Manuel Lăcătuș to make any attempt to save it. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Isidro Ferman replaced Pedro Paulo Dante. Arthur Bufi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Firea in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match, Gwidon Cwojdak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Lăcătuș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emanuel Firea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș got control of the ball when 余永川 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 余永川 struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Manuel Lăcătuș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. After 97 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gwidon Cwojdak. When the final whistle sounded Cruzeiro Esporte Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Republica Ploiești.
