Wilfredo Heli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Barbu in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Stere in the 10th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Nicolae Barbu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Stere, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Marian Văduvescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Isadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filip Paulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Stere, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Wilfredo Heli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Paulescu went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Filip Paulescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilfredo Heli. Wilfredo Heli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Real Unión CF's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Dunajski came free, but Wilfredo Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Dunajski in the 36th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Wilfredo Heli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Real Unión CF's Wilfredo Heli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Stere in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Leonardo Isadore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Real Unión CF's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Stere came free, but Wilfredo Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Real Unión CF's Karl-Magnus Torsberg was substituted for Sandalio Urquiaga. 70 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Liu Cheng Kang came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Unión CF defense, Lucian Stere kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Heli. The Real Unión CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Heli should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute Dasep Arkananta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes FC Steaua Pildesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cebo Segura who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Real Unión CF's Cebo Segura to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Văduvescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 87 minutes of play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilfredo Heli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucian Stere took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Heli. Wilfredo Heli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0.
