In the 22nd minute, Jacobo Abechuco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aírton de Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 25thth minute of the game Astor Giampietro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute Roman Riquelme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Atlético Zelaya's Astor Giampietro in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Válbson de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Santiago Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson de Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play. Santiago Gaizko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 57 in the game by Astor Giampietro from a close distance when the talented Aírton de Lima managed to make a qualified save. Motta Futebol Clube's players were relieved. After 58 played minutes Atlético Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Astor Giampietro. Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Motta Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Atlético Zelaya defense, Válbson de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Gaizko. The Atlético Zelaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Gaizko should have stopped the shot. Motta Futebol Clube's Kılıç Tunçöven was substituted for Válbson de Alcântara. In the 89th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xie Ao to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Atlético Zelaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes Atlético Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Abechuco. When Alejandro Gandolfini fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Zelaya's protests and gave Alejandro Gandolfini a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Zelaya getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alejandro Gandolfini hit a great ball. After 97 played minutes Atlético Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Aztore. Atlético Zelaya were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Motta Futebol Clube's much stronger midfield.
