In the 7th minute Diego Armando Lamb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Scutti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jo Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Atletico Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Zamora couldn't finish the play. The Algarrobo fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Algarrobo's Edmundo Cañas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 14 minutes into the game, Algarrobo's Edmundo Cañas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fedele Scutti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 17th minute Juan Ignacio Vera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Scutti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atletico Roma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Hudson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Leon Hudson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Algarrobo's Everardo Ado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atletico Roma's Fedele Scutti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Armando Lamb in the 28th minute of play. Andre Pollard charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andre Pollard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Atletico Roma's Fedele Scutti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 29th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Armando Lamb to make the kick off. Perry Shields lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Atletico Roma's Perry Shields got a free kick in the 54th minute. Diego Armando Lamb hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Algarrobo's Diego Armando Lamb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fedele Scutti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Algarrobo's Wilfredo Marchetti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fedele Scutti. That made the score 0-6 after 76 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Carrera got free with Fedele Scutti in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atletico Roma's Fedele Scutti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Roma from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Atletico Roma defense, Juan Ignacio Vera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fedele Scutti. The Atletico Roma fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fedele Scutti should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Diego Armando Lamb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fedele Scutti was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Diego Armando Lamb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Algarrobo played a much better game than Atletico Roma and deserved their victory. The Atletico Roma players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
