The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Pes got free with Pawel Makarewicz in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pawel Makarewicz made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Theo Hayles sent off a good shot on target. When Charlie Monk came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Parma Wanderers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charlie Monk couldn't finish the play.
