Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Guiñazú FC's Ali Modrić started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pawel Makarewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Gaza in the 3rd minute of play. Guiñazú FC were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Parma Wanderers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ali Modrić took the corner. Pawel Makarewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Gaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guiñazú FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ali Modrić in the 9th minute. Israel Gaza scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pawel Makarewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Parma Wanderers's Pawel Makarewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Gaza in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Guiñazú FC were awarded a corner. Ali Modrić went to the cornerflag to take it. Ali Modrić made a great header on Guiñazú FC's corner, it was just that Parma Wanderers's Pawel Makarewicz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 26th match minute, Guiñazú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Modrić to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cliff Gordon in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Monico saved Guiñazú FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Parma Wanderers's Rio Fuller got a free kick in the 34th minute. A collision led to Parma Wanderers getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Kirk Perkins hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Parma Wanderers's zone, Ali Modrić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pawel Makarewicz came out of the goal and Ali Modrić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Israel Gaza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pawel Makarewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Modrić in the 40th minute of play. Vladimiro Millan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Pawel Makarewicz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Parma Wanderers's Brett Dingle got a free kick in the 44th minute. Pawel Makarewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Modrić in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Kirk Perkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ali Modrić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guiñazú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Modrić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pawel Makarewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Cliff Gordons short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Armando Monico to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Guiñazú FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Parma Wanderers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ali Modrić took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ali Modrić got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pawel Makarewicz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Israel Gaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pawel Makarewicz having to interfere. Pawel Makarewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Emesto in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Ali Modrić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pawel Makarewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Hallam took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Monico. Armando Monico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The Parma Wanderers fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Parma Wanderers's Cliff Gordon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Parma Wanderers's Russ Hunter was substituted for Cliff Gordon. Parma Wanderers made a substitution. George Munroe replaced Kirk Perkins. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Emesto in the 79th minute of play forced Parma Wanderers's goalkeeper Pawel Makarewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pawel Makarewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Modrić in the 81st minute of play. Ali Modrić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Pawel Makarewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brett Dingle hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle went the supporters of Parma Wanderers were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Guiñazú FC side.
