The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Izel in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Oylimpiamos Ψ booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Polat Aranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Gilberto Izel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams. Koen Rijmenams was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Koen Rijmenams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Rozarius, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Oylimpiamos Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Rik Quexada. 13 minutes into the game, La Scaloneta's Gilberto Izel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Koen Rijmenams made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Oylimpiamos Ψ booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Polat Aranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Koen Rijmenams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Izel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Bachicabo got free with Franco Moscatelli in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Enrique Rozarius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Scaloneta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oylimpiamos Ψ the free kick. After 22 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Rozarius. Koen Rijmenams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Rozarius, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes Oylimpiamos Ψ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrique Rozarius who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Polat Aranda heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Izel in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Koen Rijmenams saved Oylimpiamos Ψ from getting behind. Franco Moscatelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fortun Corrillos in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Chuse Nurueña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Rozarius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Koen Rijmenams. Oylimpiamos Ψ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 35th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Polat Aranda to maneuver through the defense. La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save La Scaloneta from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Izel in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Koen Rijmenams prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Gilberto Izel put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Koen Rijmenams. Franco Moscatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortun Corrillos, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Koen Rijmenams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Izel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Scaloneta were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Oylimpiamos Ψ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enrique Rozarius took the corner. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Concetto Guerra hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolo Bachicabo was the one to do the kick off. Koen Rijmenams made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Izel in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Izel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Koen Rijmenams. That made the score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Rozarius in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Oylimpiamos Ψ booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Izel didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Izel in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Koen Rijmenams saved Oylimpiamos Ψ from getting behind. Franco Moscatelli came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Oylimpiamos Ψ's Selatse Cantillo. But to his dismay, Selatse Cantillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Izel in the 75th minute of play forced Oylimpiamos Ψ's goalkeeper Koen Rijmenams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koen Rijmenams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Rozarius in the 79th minute of play. Gilberto Izel took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Koen Rijmenams. Koen Rijmenams dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Oylimpiamos Ψ made a substitution. Gregory Neila replaced Fortun Corrillos. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Kiko Pirani was substituted for Bartolo Bachicabo. Gilberto Izel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Rijmenams having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match, Polat Aranda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Koen Rijmenams saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Koen Rijmenams was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Rozarius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 92 minute of play. Although Oylimpiamos Ψ had been in control for most of the match, La Scaloneta still came away with the win.
