The audience thought a goal was coming when Benvide Ponte got free with Mikolaj Grunwalski in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Spartak de Txurdi's zone, Benvide Ponte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikolaj Grunwalski came out of the goal and Benvide Ponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Spartak de Txurdi made a substitution. Regis Jaen replaced Evelio Senin. Spartak de Txurdi's Mikolaj Grunwalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Sindo in the 79th minute of play. Gallardo y Biscay FC's Federico Colas was substituted for Benvide Ponte. Spartak de Txurdi were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Gallardo y Biscay FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gav Smith took the corner.
